Dear Paula, Mom, Grandmother, and Friend,
I've been thinking about how to begin writing to you, in this space, all week long. How do I sum up all of your amazing attributes? How do I thank you for the many ways you've encouraged me? How do I express how loved I feel, how you've treated me like a daughter, long before I "officially" became one?
I'm not sure what I'll accomplish in this space, but in the coming entries I hope to answer some of these questions and I hope I might brighten your day the same way you brighten mine with your love and generosity.
Just this week I attended a party that my parents were at as well. Someone, who had never met them, commented on what a lucky girl I am to have such wonderful parents. I told them I was and that I was also blessed with extraordinary in-laws. Even though you weren't there I wanted her to know how proud I am to be your daughter and to have you as Wes' Grandmother. (Oh, and I think Steve is pretty wonderful too)
We all love you so very much and wish you a very happy birthday. This year will be full, to put it simply, and we are here for you in whatever capacity you need. To give you a hug, to bring you a meal, to share a Wesley story...whatever you need- just let us know!
With love and admiration,
Jenny (Jeff & Wes)
