Dear Paula,
You have raised quite a wonderful son. Bryan sent me this beautiful flowering cactus plant yesterday, and it arrived at school to cheer my heart and brighten my office. The fuchsia buds complement my strange lavender walls perfectly. Right now I'm sipping a cup of coffee, gazing out my window at the gorgeous explosion of pink blossoms on the spindly branches of yon cherry tree and the vibrant green grass soaking up the relentless rain, and thinking of you. I hope your day is full of as much or more beauty than mine.

The "Christmas" cactus, that's what I call them...but I could be very wrong... is beautiful!
