Dear Paula,

I know I can speak for our whole family when I say this: YOU ARE AMAZING. We are all rejoicing that tomorrow is your last day of treatment!!! There are so many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, but this is certainly one of the biggest things. Praise God for seeing you through every step, every decision, every chemo and day of radiation. Praise Him for being with you in every conversation--with doctors and nurses and cancer patients and friends and family. Praise Him for giving you the strength to participate in major life events--Bryan and Rachel's wedding, numerous celebrations, bearing the sorrows and burdens of others, and also for giving you the space to rest and be carried and served by those who love you.

You have personally blessed me time and time again as I have witnessed your journey these past several months. Your beautiful, humble transparency, your hopeful heart, your sublime sense of humor, your ability to remain faithful and engaged with God's story and with your loved ones. I am so thankful for you, Paula, and for the things God continues to teach me through your life.

I am cheering you on in spirit tonight and tomorrow as you head into Swedish! (And I'm convinced that all those caring for you at the hospital are going to miss seeing you every day!) May God place his healing hands upon you, and fully restore your strength and wellness, making your body vibrant and healthy after all these months of work to expel the cancer. May you physically feel life and strength and energy returning to every limb and part of you! And may your spirit, too, be uplifted and blessed by the Holy Spirit. We all will continue to pray for you, Paula, and I cannot wait to wrap my arms around you on Thanksgiving Day and celebrate our Lord's goodness alongside you as your grateful daughter!

All my love,
Kristen
