Dear Paula,
I had such a wonderful time at the shower on Saturday. It was so good to see our family all in one place, as well as your beautiful friends who are so gracious to me. Just like at my bridal shower last spring, I am a little overwhelmed by such generosity, but I love seeing the strong relationships you have built with these friends over the years. It is something Bryan and I are trying to emulate as we start our life together.
I want you to know how much I appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into the planning of the shower, from the red and blue color scheme to match the nursery and the beef salad you made in remembrance of our first one-on-one lunch together, to the creme brulee and chocolate lava cakes that are two of my favorite desserts and the many delightful gifts. I was blessed. Thank you.
